Lights, Camera, Action! Jennifer Burke, from Living Vancouver, came to do a segment on "creating your own card from home". Two camera men, a producer and darling Jennifer Burke, she is tiny, were here for over two hours shooting live shots, B shots and more. Jennifer gave it her best effort, producing a sweet cupcake birthday card for her daughters to use. All in all, it was a very enjoyable experience.

New York Stationery Show 2011

We have just returned from the big Apple and as we do every year, had an amazing time! The city was sunny and warm the day we arrived which is always such a wonderful welcome. We walked the streets of New York for miles, inhaling all of the boutiques, window displays and flagship stores, searching for inspiration and new ideas. Fashion illustrations seemed to be everywhere we looked; in advertisements, on billboards, on wallpaper... It was everywhere! It's always great to see other peoples style of illustration, posture, shadowing. So much talent out there.
The Stationery show was smaller than last year, as it has been for the past ten years, but full of quality vendors. The vibe was good and it is always a pleasure to visit our vendors each year and continue fostering the relationships we made over the years. What we came out of the show was that we are going to focus on our website, adding more selections in these key areas: INVITATIONS, CALLING CARDS & HOLIDAY CARDS. We realize that many people are using social media for their thank you's and invitations (but know that it may be appropriate in some situations, it is DEFINITLY NOT for all occasions). We aim to continue to offer a greater selection of products, make it easier to order online (or at our studio if you are local) in a timely and efficient manner so that you will continue to come back and use our services again. We strive to give you great service and offer you fabulous products. Enjoy the photos!

Summer 2010

It has been quite the Spring Summer at Paperqueen headquarters. Firstly, we moved! That was more fun than I can even describe.... but it is done and everything is put away in our darling Studio space in West Vancouver. Lots of bright sunlight all day long to create, design and be inspired.

Extraordinary weddings seem to be the theme this year. Exceptional tastes and styles. It has been a pleasure dealing with these lovely brides. Enjoy perusing.
